Thinking about money makes you:
Excited; it's time to go shopping
Frustrated; you're not quite on track with your savings goals
Focused; you need to make your money grow
Annoyed; why is everybody always so worried about money
You just won $10,000. The first thing you do is:
Grab the Celine bag you've been craving FOREVER
Save a couple thousand, and use the rest to launch your puppy t-shirt line
Put 50% away, then spread the other 50% across your month budget
Give it all to charity and help out a few friends
Your dream vacation is:
A 7-day Carnival cruise, booked a year in advance
A wild weekend trip to Vegas. Bottle poppin', no stoppin'!
Living #vanlife for a Summer and camping under the stars
A trip to China's wholesale district with a little sightseeing thrown in for fun
When your bills arrive, the first thing you do is:
Toss them out without opening
Open them and pay them immediately
Let them pile up on your desk. You'll deal with them later
Open them and check each line item for inaccuracies
An unexpected expense comes up, and leaves you with $20 to your name. You:
Don't stress about it. Everything will work out
Eat rice and beans until next payday. You need that $20 in case of emergency
Put it in your gas tank and spend your off hours driving for Uber
Grab a pizza. You get paid in a few days anyway
How do you budget each month?
Budget?? What's that? YOLO!
You pay yourself first, then bills, and the rest goes into projects to make you more money
The thought of budgeting is WAYYYYYYYYYYY too stressful. As long as the bills are paid, you're good
All bills are paid first; whatever's left goes into savings
How often do you check your credit score?
Never. I don't even want to think about my credit report
Weekly. Know what's on my reports is essential to my peace of mind
Quarterly. Checking my credit every 90 days keeps me on top of the details
Once a year, maybe. People shouldn't be judged by some arbitrary number
When you pay your credit card bill, you pay:
The minimum balance due. Sometimes I forget, and pay a few days late
The balance in full, before the due date
I pay off each purchase immediately; my statement always shows a $0 balance
Whatever they say I have to pay. I hate my credit cards
Looking at my bank account statement makes me:
I don't look at my bank statements
Confident. My money is working for me daily
Proud! My balance keeps growing and growing
Angry with myself. Where does all my money go?.
In ten years, your ideal financial life looks like:
A thriving business, multiple streams of investment income, and lots of working capital
Hmmmm, I'm not sure. As long as I can buy what I want, I'm good
Working in my dream career with a six-figure salary, a growing nest egg & a home of my own
Ten years?! That's a long way off...
